Ownership

vpnMentor was established in 2014 as an independent site reviewing VPN services and covering privacy-related stories. Today, our team of hundreds of cybersecurity researchers, writers, and editors continues to help readers fight for their online freedom in partnership with Kape Technologies PLC, which also owns the following products: ExpressVPN, CyberGhost, ZenMate, Private Internet Access, and Intego, which may be reviewed on this website.

Affiliate Commissions Advertising

vpnMentor contains reviews that follow the strict reviewing standards, including ethical standards, that we have adopted. Such standards require that each review will take into consideration the independent, honest and professional examination of the reviewer. That being said, we may earn a commission when a user completes an action using our links, at no additional cost to them. On listicle pages, we rank vendors based on a system that prioritizes the reviewer’s examination of each service, but also considers feedback received from our readers and our commercial agreements with providers.

Reviews Guidelines

The reviews published on vpnMentor are written by community reviewers that examine the products according to our strict reviewing standards. Such standards ensure that each review prioritizes the independent, professional and honest examination of the reviewer, and takes into account the technical capabilities and qualities of the product together with its commercial value for users. The rankings we publish may also take into consideration the affiliate commissions we earn for purchases through links on our website.

Top VPN Servers List by Country in 2023 — Global Protection

Sarit Newman Updated on 1st July 2023 Internet Security Researcher

When looking for a VPN provider, it's always important to know where their servers are located. Let's say you want to watch a TV show from the UK, but the content is blocked because you don't live there. If your VPN doesn't have a server in the UK, you won't be able to mask your IP address to one in the UK, and you won't be able to access the content.

Yet, the task of meticulously researching to pinpoint the location of each server can be time-intensive. Who can afford that kind of time? Furthermore, there's no guarantee that you'll successfully uncover the location of every server.

So, to make your lives that much easier, we contacted our most popular VPN providers and asked them for the locations of their servers. (You can thank us by sharing this with your friends.)

A little note: We listed the countries of these servers, but not the cities. One of our contacts at PIA explained why:

"...Server locations are not fixed to a particular city. While our servers are in city A for today, we could decide to move it to city B in the same region for any reason. As such, [...] providing cities to our customers could be misleading if they were to subscribe [...] with the assumption that we have and will always have a particular city. What's important for performance is the proximity of the servers (which can be automatically selected by the VPN application) and the country in which it is in."

So, without further ado, here is a list of all the server locations for our most popular VPN providers.
